May I be terminated based on Corona?

The so-called Corona crisis can lead to dismissals for operational reasons. However, employees are protected by the German Dismissals Protection Act (KSchG) even in such cases. Accordingly, termination for operational reasons requires in particular the permanent cessation of employment. According to the KSchG, dismissals would in any case not be justified in the event of only temporary losses of orders or temporary plant closures.
