Termination because of a tattoo?

In principle, everyone is free to have a tattoo or piercing. If the employer can prove a justified interest that corresponding body art should not be visible while performing the work activity, he can order the covering of tattoos or the removal of piercings within the scope of his right of direction or contractually. As a rule, a dismissal due to visible body jewelry is likely to be effective only in individual cases, for example if the visibility cannot be prevented in any way.
