What is a termination for personal reasons?

Personal reasons for termination are those based on the employee's personal abilities and characteristics, which are generally beyond the employee's control (e.g. illness, lack of work permit). A termination for personal reasons is effective if contractual or operational interests are significantly impaired, there is a negative prognosis for the future, no milder means than termination are available and the employer's interest in the termination ultimately prevails within the framework of a balancing of interests.
