Settlement permit

A settlement permit allows you to stay in Germany for an unlimited period of time. Also, under certain conditions, a permanent residence permit-EU can be obtained, which opens the European labor market.

The granting of a settlement permit is linked to various requirements, such as a secure livelihood and, in principle, five years of legal residence. Your old-age provision must be secured, you must have sufficient living space available, and you must have certain knowledge regarding the language and the legal and social order. You can find more detailed information here.

We provide our clients with comprehensive advice on applying for a settlement permit.

Naturalization

Through naturalization, it is possible for a foreigner to obtain German citizenship. German citizenship is associated with numerous benefits, in particular, German citizens enjoy freedom of movement in the EU, which opens up the European labor market. Naturalization is subject to numerous requirements, such as your identity and previous citizenship must be clarified and your legal and habitual residence must have been in Germany for 8 years in principle. It is also a prerequisite for naturalization that your livelihood and that of your family is secured. In addition, you must have an unlimited right of residence or a specific residence permit. You must not have been convicted of a criminal offense and you must have sufficient knowledge of German. You can find more details here.

We fully support our clients throughout the entire naturalization process.

EU Blue Card

For some time now, it has been possible for non-EU citizens with a university degree or who are employees to apply for an EU Blue Card in order to work in the European Union and in Germany in particular. This possibility was created to promote the immigration of highly qualified specialists to the EU.

Coupled with certain requirements, such as a certain annual salary, the Blue Card is probably one of the most uncomplicated ways to pursue gainful employment in Germany. The EU Blue Card brings with it some great advantages. With the Blue Card EU you can travel freely within the EU and there is the possibility to apply for a permanent residence permit after only 21 months, as long as a certain language level can be proven.

Obtaining the Blue Card is subject to some requirements, for example, you must have a recognized university degree, receive a certain minimum salary and have a professional license, if required. You can find more information here.

Applying for an EU Blue Card is not without risk. Due to frequent discrepancies in the required documents from authority to authority, it is advisable to consult a lawyer specializing in immigration law. We will be happy to support you and ensure that your application is processed correctly, quickly and without complications.

Residence permit for gainful employment

In principle, every foreigner who wants to pursue gainful employment in Germany needs a residence title.

The residence permit for gainful employment distinguishes between self-employment and employment.

Which residence title is the right one for you depends largely on the type of self-employed or employed activity you want to pursue. In this respect, there are differences and various legal problems from case to case. Therefore, in order to avoid mistakes or even a possible rejection of the application, it is advisable to consult a lawyer for aliens law and to get legal advice. You can find more detailed information about the differences in employment and residence titles here.

We advise our clients on all issues related to residence permits for employment.

Job and apprenticeship search

It is often not easy to find a job in Germany from abroad. However, pursuing gainful employment is a prerequisite for the vast majority of residence titles. In order to bridge this contradiction, it is possible to obtain a temporary residence title for the purpose of looking for a job in Germany. In addition, it is also possible for people who have a school-leaving qualification entitling them to enter higher education to obtain a visa to look for a training place.

The prerequisite for this is that the livelihood for the time frame of the requested residence title is secured. However, it must be noted in particular that neither of these two residence titles may be used for gainful employment in Germany. The visa can be issued for a maximum of 6 months. Further information can be found here.

We will be happy to assist you in obtaining this residence permit and with any subsequent problems that may arise.

Family reunion

In principle, all people with a valid residence permit have the option of having their closest family members join them in Germany. Particularly relevant in this context is the subsequent immigration of spouses and children.

Family reunification depends on various preconditions. For example, sufficient living space must be available and the livelihood for oneself and for the family members must be secured. You can find more information on family reunification here.

In reality, legal problems occur time and again during family reunification. In order to speed up the process and avoid mistakes, we will be happy to advise you and assist you in the process of your family reunification.

Accelerated skilled worker procedure

For qualified workers, it is possible, in cooperation with their employer, to significantly shorten the administrative procedure until the visa is issued. Within the framework of the accelerated procedure for skilled workers, a residence and work permit can thus be obtained more quickly. The prerequisites for this are, in particular, a recognized or equivalent foreign qualification and an employment contract or a concrete job offer. More detailed information on the accelerated procedure for skilled workers can be found here.

We advise both companies and private individuals in the area of residence permits for highly qualified professionals.
